Primrose Communities (PC) is a leader in providing exceptional patiential and supportive services to individuals primarily diagnosed with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) and other developmental disabilities.

For over 30 years, our dedicated team at PC has empowered individuals with developmental disabilities and Prader-Willi syndrome to achieve remarkable successes. We proudly share numerous success stories, including weight reductions of 100 to 200 pounds, significant double and triple-digit improvements in A1C levels, transformative behavioral changes, and consistent attainment of normal daily blood pressure and blood sugar levels. Our approach often results in reduced or even eliminated medication needs.

Primrose Communities is fully licensed by the State of Georgia’s Department of Community Health and rigorously adheres to best practice guidelines established by the International Prader-Willi Syndrome Organization.

Our staff undergoes extensive training to navigate the unique challenges of PWS and meet all state certification standards. Our homes are strategically located in peaceful communities and are meticulously maintained by our dedicated professionals. We integrate seamlessly into these neighborhoods, actively engaging as integral community members.

Our unique strength lies in our team of nurses, who specialize in caring for medically fragile, medically complex, and psychologically and behaviorally complex adults. Primrose offers 24-hour nursing care and oversight within small group home settings.

Our care is firmly centered on the individual. We craft personalized treatment plans that encompass physical, occupational, and speech therapies, comprehensive social work, education, as well as medical and rehabilitative care. Our leadership and skilled staff work collaboratively with primary and specialty care physicians, support coordinators, and other key stakeholders to ensure that each individual’s needs are met and medical complexities are effectively managed, including:

Who operates the home and oversees the care of the patients?

Primrose Communities is overseen by a team of licensed healthcare professionals which manages the day to days affairs of operations.

PWS can be complicated and while our goal is to discharge patients as soon as possible, the reality is that many with PWS may require long term care spanning years.

Our agency accepts placements from all over the US and the team at primrose Communities can also assist with hospital transitions into the community.

Primrose Communities accepts private pay, single case agreements with agencies and insurance companies.

Because of the sensitivity and fragility of the population we serve, our staffing ratio is approximately 2 to 4 per shift.
